ARK CLS Limited has been established to provide custom programming services and products for improved interpretation of geoscience data in the upstream oil exploration sector. ARK CLS has been formed by well established companies ARK Geophysics Limited and CustomLink Systems Limited.

Our services

Oil exploration companies use a wide range of geoscience application software and frequently require customised links to ensure common working between different packages from different vendors. Additionally, clients often need to integrate proprietary algorithms and methods into their core interpretation work flows.

ARK CLS can draw on extensive experience of using Landmark, Geoquest and Roxar Development Kits to help implement robust software solutions to specific exploration problems. ARK CLS staff undertake both short term projects to solve specific problems and more intensive developments. In the latter case, a detailed specification process involves both ARK CLS staff and the client.

Products

Products for use in Landmark, Geoquest and Roxar environments are available from ARK CLS: Seismic Transfer Plus (STP) is a workstation software product for seismic transfer and data conditioning. Seismic Coloured Inversion (SCI) is an easy to use workstation product that allows Explorationist to generate Inverted volumes without having specialised knowledge. Seismic Spectral Blueing (SSB) is a sister product to SCI which allows seismic data to be shaped to the observered Earth's reflectivity. Seismic Feature Enhancement (SFE) is powerful flat-spot utility that enhances the signal of consistent flat events and reduces the "noise" of the channel reflections. Ideal ToolKit (ITK) is a specialist toolkit available to third party software vendors for the rapid development of data I/O modules for Landmark and Geoframe environments.

Experienced staff

ARK CLS staff have extensive experience in geophysical software engineering including C/C++, Fortran, Java and HTML, and in working with and linking to all the main software tools in exploration geophysics. Clients benefit from the many years of project management experience of both large and small projects of the ARK CLS team together with their wide ranging knowledge of seismic and potential field geophysics and geoscientific data manipulation.
