Description
|
STP is
a powerful client/server product that has been designed
to allow explorationists to move 3D
seismic data easily between different third party data repositories.
These data repositories can either be derived from seismic
interpretation, seismic processing or geological modelling
software packages.
Additionally, STP provides
the explorationist with various data conditioning tools which,
together with direct connectivity to third party data repositories,
allows tasks to be carried out quicker than previously thought
possible.
STP provides
a multi-instance display server. This allows inputs and
outputs to be viewed in their own
window during
STP processing. The display server provides an
excellent QC tool. The explorationist can control various
aspects
of the display either before or during an STP processing
run.
The preview option provides the explorationist with the ability
to check and verify various values of trace data at every stage
of the STP processing. Environment Save The explorationist can
save a given STP processing request to a project database, making
multiple, repeatable processes easy to perform.
An extensive online help facility and manual documentation
is provided on the main STP window using the Help menu options.

The software seamless connects to GeoQuest's
GeoFrame and Landmark's SeisWorks data repositories via our
client/servers environment.
Additionally, STP can connect to Roxar's IRMS via RMSOpen
developer's toolkit. STP can operate
on multiple 3D
volumes, providing the user with an powerful tool for
4D operations.
The software
faciltates the generation of proprietary plug-in data conditioners.
ARK CLS has developed proprietary plug-ins modules for its
major oil company clients. One such STP plug-in, extracts
accoustic impedance
(optionally
other parameter data) from a Roxar's RMS irregular corner-point
grid and builds a regular synthetic volume in a Landmark
SeisWorks data
repository. This is being used on 4D projects determine
whether changes in accoustic impedances predicted by simulator
can be imaged seismically.
